Violence Brings Relief

A very unexpected journey. Last Wednesday (18-01-2023) after the union meeting and basic preparations for the union and subject association inauguration, I sat down on a window-side seat in a KSRTC bus to Kottarakkara that goes through Randalumoodu. My classmate Suni, after the practice of their dance, also entered the same bus and sat next to me. She was a member of a social media channel “Daily Movie Suggestions” initiated by me. She began talking about Inglourious Basterds, by one of my favourite directors Quentin Tarantino, which I have already posted as a suggestion on the channel. She told me that she just saw the beginning of the movie. But thanks to Mr Christopher Waltz for existing. He took on the rest of the journey. Then we talked about Django Unchained in which Mr Waltz came as Dr Schultz. Then our favourite directors, movies and so on…. She talked about Brad Pitt and his movies.

Fight Club, the speech…

Babel

Seven Years in Tibet

Twelve Years a Slave

We talked about

Kill Bill

The Departed

Shutter Island

Gone Girl

All about violence. But the day brought a lot of relief. In particular, the talk brought a lot of relief. Talking cinema with a cinema lover is the biggest pleasure in the world.
